Excavation & Site Work services in Harahan
Harahan is a small, settled city along the Mississippi upriver from New Orleans, with the river levee on one side and Earhart Expressway on the other. Its streets sit on the natural levee of the river, so the ground is better than in much of Jefferson Parish: silty, firmer soil that slopes gently away from the river toward the backswamp. Mature live oaks shade most lots, and many homes are ranch houses from the 1950s and 1960s with original clay or cast iron sewer laterals. Yards on the back side of town sit lower and hold water after heavy rain. Our Harahan jobs include replacing sewer laterals in trenches, tree root-aware digging, driveway and patio removal, regrading low yards and digging for pools and additions.

Permits and local rules
Inside Harahan, building permits come from the city's own Regulatory Department, not the parish. Large oaks are common, so trench routes need care. Before any dig, Louisiana 811 must have at least 48 hours of notice, counting only working days. We check the city's requirements for your job.
